Homeschool Ledger Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Homeschool Ledger ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Homeschool Ledger is a planning and record-keeping tool for homeschool families. The App allows you to:

  • Plan lessons and track attendance
  • Record courses, grades, and credits
  • Generate transcripts and reports

3. Educational Disclaimer

THE APP IS NOT LEGAL, EDUCATIONAL, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

You acknowledge that:

  • You are solely responsible for compliance with your state's homeschool laws
  • Corgrimm Tech makes no guarantees about state compliance
  • You must verify all transcript information for accuracy
  • You should consult legal/educational professionals as needed

4. User Accounts

Account Requirements

  • You must be 18 years or older to create an account
  • You must provide accurate account information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You may not share your account credentials

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse the service or other users

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Terms

  • Free tier: Limited features as described in the App
  • Premium tier: Full features for monthly, annual, or lifetime payment
  • Prices subject to change with notice

Billing

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
  • You are responsible for all charges on your account
  • Managed through Google Play Store or Apple App Store

Refunds

  • Refund requests handled according to the respective app store's policies
  • Generally, no refunds for partially-used subscription periods

Cancellation

  • You may cancel subscriptions anytime through your app store account
  • Access continues until end of paid period

6. User Content and Data

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of all data you enter into the App
  • You grant us permission to store and process your data to provide the service
  • You are responsible for backing up important data

Our Rights

  • We may use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics and improvements
  • We will not sell your personal data to third parties

Data Loss

  • While we implement reasonable backup measures, we are not liable for data loss
  • You should maintain backup copies of critical records

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the App
  • Upload malicious code or viruses
  • Scrape or data mine the App
  • Interfere with other users' use of the App

8. Intellectual Property

Our IP

  • The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Corgrimm Tech
  • Protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App

Your License

  • We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App
  • This license terminates if you violate these Terms

9. Warranties and Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS-IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We disclaim all warranties, including:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Merchantability
  • Non-infringement
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Accuracy or reliability of content

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Corgrimm Tech and Homeschool Ledger shall NOT be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, profits, or educational records
  • Rejection of transcripts by institutions
  • State compliance violations
  • Any damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the past 12 months

Some jurisdictions don't allow limitation of liability, so this may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Corgrimm Tech from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
  • Any claims related to your content or educational records

12. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services (Google Play, RevenueCat, Firebase). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via:

  • In-app notification
  • Email to your registered address
  • Update to "Last Updated" date

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Change pricing (with notice for existing subscribers)
  • Update the App for improvements or legal compliance

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Arkansas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Corgrimm Tech.
